Confidentiality

Whatever is shared with Matthew or Kimberly is considered private and strictly confidential.  Your information will not be shared with anyone else.  Emails and chats will be deleted after being read and only a hard copy will be kept in a locked filing cabinet.  Your email address will not be distributed to anyone. Online chat sessions are also safe and secure.

The only time a therapist may breach this confidentiality would be if

* You were believed to be a threat to yourself or someone else.

* The therapist is summoned to appear in court.

* Therapists are required by law to report any suspected child abuse to the proper authorities.
